How we handle location data

This site is privacy-first. When you report a break-in, you place a pin at (or type in) the spot where it happened, but the exact point you chose is never stored — not privately, not anywhere. It's snapped to roughly the block level before your report is ever saved, and that's the only version that exists.

The block-level point is close enough to see the pattern across a neighborhood, not precise enough to point at a specific house or tell anyone which driveway a car was parked in.

Reports are anonymous. We don't collect names, emails, or accounts. If you upload a photo, make sure it doesn't show anything that could identify you or your address before submitting it.
